to comment on "Melody Munoz's post" uhm...wow...ink does not last in blood for long if at all. having multiple tattoos myself the high risk is of getting Hepatitis since the ink is being transferred to the body by a needle. the only reason a tattoo is permanent is because it damages past the first layer of skin. Air Force Airman, Sergeants, and Officers as well as of any other military branch all have every right to get tattoos. and if you want to learn more about the military go to "Military.com" you will need to type this in as the URL, it is not a hyperlink and will not take you to the page...

I am the wife of a USAF disabled veteran. My husband served during the Gulf War era and I am very grateful to him and to all who take on this selfless way of life. My husband has been medically retired since 1997 and has just started to think about getting a tatoo...the soldiers cross aka battlefield cross. It is a sentiment to him in many ways. I support his decision in getting the tattoo because it is something that is done in remembrance of service given by all members of the military. This is a tag he will wear for the rest of his life.

No soldier HAS to have a tattoo.. they do it because they want to..

Tattoos dont just "look cool". To many, they have very deep sentimental value, an amotional connection that they hope will stay with them til their grave.

Im currently enlisting in the AF and plan on going to BMT within the next 2 months. Im already looking at tattoo designs for the AF. Frankly, I cant wait to get my 'badge.'

what are you talking about giving blood. Thanks for your support but I have two tattoos and have given blood. You can't give blood for only so many days after a tattoo. Going to iraq is worse. i couldn't give blood for even longer than after getting my tattoo.

Why do the air force soldiers have to have tattoos on their shoulders or any part of there body. I think this is not right because if one day you need to donate you will not be able to because your blood has poision. Instead of tattooing you should get an award or something else. Even though you guys work hard to help the states. THANKS ALOT !!!!!!! I hope we will be able to communicate again. Oh and one more thing can you tell me facts about the air force? What does it feel or felt to be in the air force?
