Another reason is the beautiful phoenix, Fawkes, in the Harry Potter series! I have a phoenix on my arm, but instead of going with traditional colors, i.e., red/yellow/oranges, mine is blue/purple/green, which has a bit to do with my astrological sign (Cancer the crab).
“Some believe that the Phoenix was a symbol of the devil and was used by pagans to show their love for Satan.”
1st of all Pagans DO NOT worship satan. So this is totaly false.
2nd of all Phoenix was used by Christianity too depicting Christ rising from the dead.
THANk you…
I agree with using tattoos to describe yourself or to use them to represent you in some way but we need to evolve past this Satan-God rubbish, millions of people don’t believe in the point of religion so lets start using tattoos and their meaning without a religious background,if that is ever possible, evolve!!
Just relax one life one chance im a fire sign n have a few tatts on my shoulder which i dont regret but am goin to cover it up so i can blend them in if i end up gettin more…
The concept of the Phoenix comes from Egypt, in reference to the divinity of Horus. The falcon flew in the sky all day looking for food and when the sun shine against the bird it look like it was on fire. The Greeks adopted a lot of Egyptian culture because back in ancient times many people went to Egypt to learn it compares to going to MIT or Harvard in todays society. The Eagle that is pictured on the back of the dollar bill is a spin off of the Phoenix bird.
I’m a fire sign so I will be getting a Phoenix tattoo on my back once my bailout plan comes through.
To be quite honest i like all these theories of the phoenix but really lets just all love the magic around it.
