I am in the middle of having several Koi tattoo’s done. I started with a Black Koi which in Japanese culture is symbolic for the Father and I am going to be adding three more koi for the rest of my family and they are symbolic for, my wife (Orange/Red) which I have already added, daughter (red/pink) and son (Blue/White). I am going to be adding Cherry Blossoms, Japanese Maple leaves and waves to the tie in work for my tattoo.

i want to get a cherry blossom tattoo on my back starting from the shoulder
at first i just wanted the flowers but now that im looking at other tattoos the whole tree looks nice too.
i wanted to add the names of 3 ppl i knew that died but i dont know how that would work out
to me it shows that they lived a short life
or adding butterflies and underneath the butterflies have their name showing that they are living a new life in heaven cuz they way the butterfly starts out as a catapillar lives a new life as a butterfly

When looking for cherry trees to do my tat on my back I didnt know what it ment, I had a very shocked reaction to what this page has to say since I was having the tattoo done on my back over another tattoo of a butterfly that I had done for my best friend who was killed 10 years ago. The roots were going to surround the butterfly to show that I’ve finaly let her go, and that I was starting a new life. I’ve healed from her leaving at such an early age and I know that life is very short so I need to enjoy every min. Now that I have read the meaning behind the cherry tree I’m very happy with my choice.

In my opinion, cheery blossom tattoo looked great if inked in the area of your shoulder and chest for men.

For girl, Anke, shoulder, lower back are the best place for this kind of cherry blossom tattoo.
