shoulder-cherry-blossom-tattoosThese days, cherry blossom tattoo with both the Chinese, the photos  and pictures are new and trendy in the market especially for women. The cherry blossoms are very common Japanese are they symbolize delicacy and freshness if reviewed carefully.

These tattoos have deep cultural and ethnic connotations, which should definitely be known before you get them. You should not just get them because of the ideas that they look cool and all your friends have one such popular tattoo. In fact, the Chinese and Japanese cherry blossoms have quite different implications when considered individually.cherry-blossomcherry-blossomcherry-blossomcherry-blossomcherry-blossom

According to the Chinese traditions, the cherry blossom is a symbol of power along with the feminine etiquette and delicacy. They symbolize the petite beauty and sexuality of women along with their dominance natures. The cherry blossoms symbolize freshness and hence are a language of love said by the herbs and flowers.

The Japanese, however, say that since the cherry blossom lasts only for a short time, it represents the transitory phase of life. This concept is related to the roots of Buddhism and means that nothing in life is permanent. Change is the only constant and so, we should not be too depressed with anything in life. The fallen cherry blossom is considered as the life of cherry-blossomcherry-blossoma warrior who passed away before his time in a war.

It always is wise to have a decent knowledge of the general symbolization of any tattoo before getting it on permanently

    Hi, Van’Quella

In my opinion, cheery blossom tattoo looked great if inked in the area of your shoulder and chest for men.

For girl, Anke, shoulder, lower back are the best place for this kind of cherry blossom tattoo.

When looking for cherry trees to do my tat on my back I didnt know what it ment, I had a very shocked reaction to what this page has to say since I was having the tattoo done on my back over another tattoo of a butterfly that I had done for my best friend who was killed 10 years ago. The roots were going to surround the butterfly to show that I’ve finaly let her go, and that I was starting a new life. I’ve healed from her leaving at such an early age and I know that life is very short so I need to enjoy every min. Now that I have read the meaning behind the cherry tree I’m very happy with my choice.

I am in the middle of having several Koi tattoo’s done. I started with a Black Koi which in Japanese culture is symbolic for the Father and I am going to be adding three more koi for the rest of my family and they are symbolic for, my wife (Orange/Red) which I have already added, daughter (red/pink) and son (Blue/White). I am going to be adding Cherry Blossoms, Japanese Maple leaves and waves to the tie in work for my tattoo.

What Do You Think?
