Just like his other tattoos, David Beckham’s new Chinese character tattoo has a strong meaning to the soccer superstar. The middle field soccer star unveiled his new body art during one of is training sessions with his Los Angeles Galaxy team.
The team had recently been to the Far East where this famous Spice girl husband had this tattoo made. Britain’s The Sun newspaper learned from a reliable source that the technique used to etch the characters on the superstar’s skin was completely different and unique and can only be found in Hong Kong. Unlike the usual tattoo art, David Beckham’s new Chinese character tattoo appears as of it is just brushed on his skin. He has always expressed that he wanted the Chinese brush-stroke look or effect in a tattoo.
The 32-year old soccer superstar is a collector of tattoos and all of these markings mean something to him. Actually, both he and his wife, Victoria (one of the members of the famous Spice Girls) agreed in this aspect. When he declared his love to Posh Spice (Victoria’s screen name), he had his left forearm inked with “Forever by your side”. The couple also had identical Latin phrase tattooed on their left arm saying “De Integro” meaning, “Again from the start”. They also etched the date when they made their wedding vows renewal as “VIII.V.MMVI” which means “March 8, 2006”.
As a tattoo collector and a self-confessed tattoo addict, aside from the tattoos mentioned above, David boasts of his other collections such as:
- The names of their children namely Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. His first-born son’s name Brooklyn is located at his lower back. It was his very first tattoo.
